This song was written by my wife, Lizz, and I. She wrote the lyrics and helped shape the song to what it is. In short, the song is about overcoming abuse in all forms, and feeling the immense relief that comes with getting out of such a situation. Inspiration regarding the instrumentals include The Cure, Dance with the Dead, and a tiny bit of Green Day. As for the vocals and lyrics, that's all Lizz's own personal experiences. She has a bright future ahead of her.
