Chris
Chris is an electronic music producer hailing from Salt Lake City. His musical journey began in the vibrant local band scene, where he honed his skills on the guitar and bass. His quest for artistic growth led him to explore vocal techniques, often practicing in his car during pizza delivery shifts, which served as the perfect opportunity to refine his singing and later, vocal production and mixing skills.
In 2016, amidst a period devoid of band collaborations and armed with only his desktop computer, Chris found solace and inspiration in electronic music. This newfound passion offered him an unparalleled creative outlet, allowing him to construct and shape soundscapes from the ground up. The process unlocked a sense of freedom for him, a liberation found not in the possession of high-end musical equipment, but within the boundless realms of his imagination.
A pivotal moment came a year later when Chris decided it was time to share his music with the world, marking his artistic milestones and delving into the business aspects of the music industry. After much deliberation, he coined the name Runestomper for his project—a nod to his fondness for RuneScape and a reference to his high school days wearing Vibram Five Finger shoes.
Fast forward to the present, Chris, under the moniker Runestomper, remains deeply committed to his musical education, constantly seeking new knowledge and techniques in music production. His journey is a testament to the transformative power of creativity and a relentless pursuit of excellence in the electronic music landscape.
Lizz
Lizz is an experienced writer and artist, laying claim to Salt Lake City as her hometown. Her creative journey began as a child, fervently writing and recording songs as much as she could.
She professionally started her musical journey as a radio DJ, where she worked at a local radio station in North Dakota.
Over the years, she has focused on taking care of her family as a mother. But she hasn't ever forgotten her early days of making music.
When she met Chris, her passion for music flared up like a raging fire, and since then, she's been back in the studio, helping Runestomper become better than it has ever been.
She's also a huge cat lover, supporter of the local arts, and is a huge proponent of the local scene. Painting is another passion of hers, along with a deep love of anything macabre.
